3.3 Estonian EBCDIC code table (see Table 3.3)

In IBM mainframes, the EBCDIC code table is employed. The Estonian EBCDIC code table character set coincides with the basic Estonian code table. As a basis for the Estonian table, the table IBM CP 278 was chosen, which is also in use in the Scandinavian countries. Taking into consideration the needs of the Estonian language, in this code table the following substitutions were made:

8C = S^ (LS22)
AC = s^ (LS21)
8E = Z^ (LZ22)
AE = z^ (LZ21)
